Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Verinet (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Verinet Technologies Private Limited (“Verinet”, “we”, “us”).

Verinet is open to working professionals aged 18 or older with a verified work email at an allowlisted employer. Students, freelancers without a corporate domain, and anyone impersonating another person are not eligible. We may, at our discretion, refuse service or remove accounts that do not meet these criteria.

One person, one account. Your phone number and work email are bound to your identity. You are responsible for keeping your passcode confidential and for any activity that occurs through your account. Notify us immediately at admin@verinet.in if you suspect unauthorised access.

Verinet’s core promise is that your identity stays hidden until both parties agree to connect. You agree not to attempt to deanonymise other users, scrape profile data, or share another user’s identifying details outside the platform before mutual reveal.

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, defame, dox, or stalk any user.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Post content that is illegal, discriminatory, sexually explicit, hateful, or that infringes third-party rights.
• Solicit payment outside the Service or run scams.
• Attempt to access another user’s account or interfere with the technical operation of the Service.

Reports of conduct violations are reviewed within 24 hours. Repeat or severe violations result in permanent bans, with the offending work email and mobile number locked out from creating new accounts.

When you publish a listing you must accurately describe the property and the people you live with, post only photos you have rights to use, and not list properties you have no authority to rent or share. Verinet introduces verified people. We do not vet rental agreements, payments, lease terms, or living arrangements, and we are not a party to any rental contract.

Once you and another user mutually connect, you may exchange messages through the Service. You remain responsible for your own due diligence before signing leases, paying deposits, or moving in. Treat any unverified payment request, off-platform redirection, or pressure tactic as a red flag and report it.

You may delete your account at any time from settings; we erase your data within 30 days, subject to the limited retention described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that we reasonably believe pose a safety risk, or where continued service would breach applicable law.

Verinet, the Verinet logo, and all related marks, software, and design are owned by us. You retain ownership of the content you post, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display it solely to operate the Service.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific user or listing will meet your expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verinet, its directors, employees, and processors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any direct claim is limited to ₹10,000 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold Verinet harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
